Case Study
UROOJ was an ambitious startup building a specialized project collaboration platform tailored for the fashion industry, aiming to streamline workflows between designers, manufacturers, and retailers.
My Role: • Served dual role as Senior Software Developer and Software Architect • Designed and implemented microservices architecture for scalable collaboration features • Worked extensively with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure • Implemented event-driven architecture using Kafka for real-time collaboration features • Built backend services using NestJS with TypeScript • Designed database schemas and data models for complex fashion industry workflows • Established architectural patterns and technical standards for the development team • Integrated third-party APIs for document management and file sharing
Project Status: The project was eventually abandoned. However, this experience was invaluable for my growth as an architect, exposing me to enterprise-level technologies like microservices, Kafka, and multi-cloud deployments. It taught me to think beyond just coding and consider scalability, maintainability, and architectural best practices.
