Case Study
Tap2Do was a pioneering service booking platform - similar to UrbanClap but launched even before UrbanClap entered the market. Despite being ahead of its time, the business eventually closed due to operational challenges.
My Role: • Sole developer responsible for the entire application (website and Android app) • Built the platform using Angular 1.x for frontend and PHP with SQL for backend • Reported directly to the client, managing all technical communications • Gathered requirements and translated them into technical features • Developed service provider onboarding and management system • Created booking flow, payment integration, and service scheduling • Built rating and review system for service quality assurance • Implemented real-time notifications for booking updates • Developed admin panel for managing providers, bookings, and analytics
Project Status: Though the business is no longer operational, this project was invaluable experience in building a complete marketplace platform from scratch and understanding why timing and operations are as crucial as technology in startup success.
